Spring is just around the courner, can you feel it? Despite the recent refreeze we’re enduring in Toronto, I’m thrilled to actually see natural light before 8am, and to hear bird songs coming from the sleeping trees. Tulip and crocus leaves have started to rise through the earth of my tiny front yard – it feels like spring is ready to pop!
With this new season budding I begin to plan spring cleaning projects in and around the house. Throwing open long-shut windows, and tidying up the garden for new growth for example. I LOVE that the Toronto Yoga Conference (April 1-3) is around this same time because my practice could use a good spring clean too! Throw on your stretchiest pants and participate in 28 hours of yoga including yin, Bollywood dancing (say what?!) flow, thai yoga and lots more. See my post featuring last year’s highlights.
Of the 300 exhibitors eager to promote their goods with the yogi community, here are a few that I consider “must-sees”.
Business partners (and sisters) Alyson and Katherine craft absolutely beautiful mala necklaces using semi precious stones, crystals, wooden materials and seeds. They believe in the magic and beauty of the materials they use, and it’s clear that a lot of love and dedication goes into every piece.
