Yoga Show Goodies

Header Image - Yoga Show Goodies

This past weekend I had a blast checking out all the wellness exhibitors at the 2016 Toronto Yoga Conference with my sister (aka: my Best-y). We sipped fresh coconut water, nibbled on Made Good Granola Minis, and browsed through hundreds of lovely yoga lifestyle products. From jewellery to cookbooks, and of course yoga mats and apparel, there were so many items I wanted to bring home – and many of which I did!

Here are my top 5 favourite items from the show!

Yoga Show Goodies 2

1. Self Reflection Sacred Layers Bracelet – Zen Dreamer // 2. Turkish Diamond Peshtemal Blanket – The Wanderly // 3. Nomad Capri – Inner Fire // 4. Serene Tea – The Honest Leaf // 5. Smooth Like Butta Body Butter – Joyous Health

Self Reflection Sacred Layers Bracelet
Zen Dreamer

Part of why I love the Yoga Show is the opportunity to meet the talented and dedicated people behind the products and brands I admire! This year was Zen Dreamer’s debut at the show. Not only did I get the chance to meet sisters (and owners) Katherine & Alyson in person, but I also got to see their creations first hand! I love the Self Reflection bracelet from the Sacred Layers collection, which pairs two bracelets together in perfect harmony.

Turkish Diamond Peshtemal Blanket
The Wanderly

Ugh… I just want to immerse myself in the beachy boho universe that is The Wanderly. All of their goods, from Kaftans to tote bags, are completely covetable. I love the colour of this Turkish Blanket! Can’t you just picture yourself bringing it to the beach as the perfect sun bathing accompaniment? Throw on your floppy sun hat + shades and call this blanket “home” for the day.

Nomad Capri
by Inner Fire

Look through my closet and sadly you won’t see anything but black when it comes to my yoga pants! Well, not for much longer now that I’ve discovered this Nomad Capri. Not only are the legs the perfect length for a petite girl like me, but the fabric feels so soft – and durable to boot! My sister and I thought this pattern was so funky we even bought matching pairs. To top it off, Leah, the company founder, creates all the designs herself, and every pair of leggings is made in Vancouver from recycled water bottles.

Tip: Use discount code “Brunette” to get 15% off your Inner Fire purchase!

Serene Tea
The Honest Leaf

Really, can you ever have too much tea? At home our tea cupboard is overflowing with Earl Grey, Rooibos, Matcha, Oolong, and Cretan Mountain tea, to name but a few! That said, I made room for a few special blends by the Honest Leaf. The Serene tea has a smooth mint flavour (my fave) with flowery undertones; the perfect way to calm the mind and body before bed.

Smooth Like Butta Body Butter
Joyous Health

I’m not going to lie… I’m a huge fan of Joy McCarthy and the Joyous Health brand. Maybe it’s because she lives in my city. Knowing that Joy is a real person makes her brand that much more approachable. My husband likes to joke that as soon as I become interested in a lifestyle brand, I like to think the founder is my bff. I’ll say things like “Joy says…”, when really I just read an amazing tip in her book haha! I’ve been using Joy’s body care products for over a year, and they are completely luxurious!

I’m constantly amazed by and grateful for the local talent that has blossomed into the flourishing companies above. With wellness at their core, it feels great to offer them my support as a customer, and to witness their growing success! I hope you check them out and find more products to love.
