Here comes a new year people! Can you believe it? Sayonara 2015 – just like that. Time sure flies, and that’s why it’s so important to reflect on your year gone by, to notice the moments you felt most alive, and to dream up all the ways you can keep that magic flowing into the year ahead. Noticing is the thing. Becoming an observer of your state of happiness so that you can gift-yourself more of the meaningful moments you deserve in the year to come!
One of the most important lessons I learned in 2015 is that I can be more than one thing. I’m not confined to the title of “Designer” in my 9-5 job … I can be that AND a Yoga Teacher. Oh, and it turns out I can also be a Blogger. I’m not one to fetishize being busy, but I fully support being “all of the things,” whatever that means to you.
And (in a seemingly contradictory way), I also fully support being “none of the things” if you so choose – a belief that has stemmed from an equally important lesson learned; My value is not tied to my title. Lasting feelings of self-worth come from a place internal and, once you tap into it, it’s a constant source!
So take a reflective look at the past year and simply notice your own little lessons. 2016 is going to be a marvellous year!
